Built to cope with travelling over rougher terrain, the Vortex has a limited-slip differential gearbox similar to those fitted to a 4×4. This enables the scooter to work out which drive wheel requires the most power, which it then directs there to keep you moving. The power comes from a specially designed high torque, 900-watt motor. And to avoid being stranded with a puncture, the Vortex has specially designed run-flat tyres that will still get you home.
